Happy New Year from your Friends at TASCO

Happy New Year from your Friends at TASCO

I need to admit, I am quite late in getting our 2016 roundup / 2017 outlook newsletter out!  The only excuse I have is that we have been experiencing an incredible amount of hero dirt on the local trails, and every free minute I have had, has been absorbed in riding my 2 wheeler on this precious chocolate cake, brown pow, hero dirt, velcro, or whatever you choose to call it.  Funny story, my business partner Mitch and I, rode the San Juan trail last Friday morning, and in my excitement to get out the door on our last minute adventure, I left my shoes in the garage.  Never before did I think that I'd consider pedaling that trail in Sanuk's, but turns out - if you want it bad enough, even Sanuk's sandals on crankbrother candy pedals can make it to the lookout and back!

Well, down to business, I'd like to thank you all for your incredible support of our little grassroots brand in 2016.  Thousands of T-Shirts, socks, hats, and water bottles have flooded our community, and it has been nothing short of amazing to see how the MTB community has soaked it up like a sponge - making me realize that our gut feeling was right in the beginning - Mountain Bikers want to have their own culture, they want brands to offer more than just tech and gear, they want lifestyle gear too!  We are a community of fun loving, adventure seeking, stoked people.  Our mission is to make TASCO be the brand that you choose to wear that embodies this to the fullest!

One of things that we have established from the beginning, is that all of our artwork be from within the community of riders.  We refer to this as the RAD family (Rider Artist Designs).  This year, we added 2 more artists, and now are up to a total of 7.  It's a little known fact that many of our designs actually pay the artist royalties, so with every purchase you make, it is helping them out as well!  In 2016, these RAD artists brought on 12 new designs,  which were used across t-shirts, hoodies, hats, socks, and water bottles.

Each newsletter, we will be featuring one RAD artist, getting a peek behind the scenes on them and their work.  It seemed fitting to start off our volume 1 newsletter with an artist who has been with us since the very beginning - Skye Walker.   We sat Skye down to learn more about him, and you can read that by clicking HERE

Moving forward into 2017, we couldn't be more excited about what we have in store.  Along with several new t-shirt designs, we'll also have some innovative riding gear out, that will bring your TASCO stoke onto the bike with you.  No longer will you be limited to the big brand motocross inspired pair of shorts, jersey, gloves & socks.    We are designing our gear, from the ground up, based on what we as mountain bike adventure seekers want to wear on our ride.  You won't see agro DH race kits, and you won't see elaborate XC Race kits - we will be focusing on everything in the middle - quite frankly what we want to ride in when we hit the trails!  Make sure you are signed up with our newsletter so you can be the first to know when they are up for grabs....sorry for the bad pun.

Keep a lookout too for the 3rd TASCO MTB Bike for a Buck Charity Sweepstakes.  We are planning to raffle off a YT Industries Jeffsey CF1 complete bike, along with a bunch of other great prizes donated by our supporting partners of this charity.  Our plan is to have 100% of the proceeds go to World Bicycle Relief this time.   More details to follow shortly.

We could go on and on about what we have cooking but let's save some of it for our next quarterly newsletter!

Until then, keep that stoke alive!  #tascostoke
